Barton’s Flowers & Bake Shop is currently seeking highly motivated applicants that are interested in a career in the baking field. We are looking to expand our team with full-time (20-40 hours weekly) & part-time positions (12-20 hours weekly) Monday-Saturday

Storefront Team Member
Greets all customers and provides them with prompt and courteous service or assistance while performing all counter duties. Wraps, packages, and prices all products accurately in accordance with established guidelines. Handles monetary transactions in an accurate manner. Stocks front of house and assists in any way possible as directed to provide for a clean and safe store environment.Thrives while working in a fast pace environment. Effectively answers telephones to obtain specialized and specific customer orders. Has the ability to describe in detail baked products. Experience preferred.
Cake Decorator &
Displays an attention to detail and the understanding of design and use of color. Well organized while multi-tasking to meet a deadline. Assembles and decorates cakes, cupcakes, cookies and/or other baked items for storefront use and special orders. Communicates effectively while answering telephones to accurately obtain specialized and specific customer orders. Prepares and applies icings/fillings while practicing food safety and sanitation. Performs other bakery duties as necessary. Attentive with either having past experience in the baking field or obtained/pursing a Pastry Arts degree. Accepting applicants with the willingness and desire to learn.
Cleans general store areas daily. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans by hand while maintaining an orderly and safe working area. Receives incoming product orders and restocks back of house goods. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Sorts and removes trash as well as sweeps and cleans floors. Upholds sanitation regulations and executes physically demanding tasks. Able to lift 50lb. or more.
Measures/weighs and prepares ingredients to produce cookies, cakes, pastries, pies and other baked goods. Cuts, shapes, moulds, & pours batters or dough into appropriate baking pans. Demonstrates attentiveness to ensure the uniformity in appearance of products as well as being able to prepare correct quantities. Assists with placing unbaked products in ovens. Removes products from the ovens according to correct and appropriate doneness. Upholds all safety and sanitation regulations of baking equipment, utensils & environment in compliance to set standards to ensure the highest quality of baked products. Portrays the ability to multi-task and time manage and is self motivated in task completion. Attentive with either having past experience in the baking field or obtained/pursing a culinary/pastry arts degree. Accepting applicants with the willingness and desire to learn. Able to lift 50lb. or more.
